Dunlop Synthetic Gut 17 Tennis String Set - Black

Dunlop Synthetic Gut 17 Tennis String Set

Shown in black.

Dunlop Synthetic Gut 17 sits in the entry level all around synthetic gut string tier, designed for players who want balanced performance, comfort, and value in a simple and dependable setup.

The 17 gauge is thinner than 16 gauge, emphasizing feel and responsiveness with a modest trade off in durability. This gauge is better suited for players who want a livelier stringbed and improved touch rather than maximum string life.

On court, Dunlop Synthetic Gut 17 delivers a clean, controlled feel with easy power and a predictable launch angle. It does not provide the high spin potential or firm directional control of polyester strings, but it is more arm friendly and forgiving, making it appropriate for recreational and intermediate players. Compared to multifilament strings, synthetic gut feels firmer and less elastic, while offering better durability and tension stability at a lower cost.

Synthetic gut strings are commonly used as a full string bed for everyday play or as a cross string in hybrid setups to add comfort and control while keeping the setup affordable.

Dunlop Synthetic Gut 17 is ideal for players seeking a versatile, budget friendly string that delivers consistent performance, comfort, and playability within the all around synthetic gut tier.
