I find that the tube is a lot easier for kids to carry and pick up the balls with rather than the basket. Also, the kids seem more entertained picking up the balls with the tube. Great for when you hold clinics with kids so they get more involved and help keep the courts they're playing on cleared.
My students love using them to pick up balls after drills, much liter than dragging around the hopper
